Fine craftsmanship, contemporary design and star power came together in Bukit Bintang as Emperor Jewellery unveils its latest boutique at The Starhill, Kuala Lumpur.  Celebrated with an intimate gathering of artistes, industry leaders, and local tastemakers, the afternoon marked a stylish and vibrant new chapter for the Brand in Malaysia.

The opening was graced by Dr Albert Yeung, Chairman of Emperor Group, and Cindy Yeung, Chairperson of Emperor Watch & Jewellery.

Emperor Entertainment artistes, Hong Kong pop queen Joey Yung and Gin Lee, a Malaysia-born artiste who became a Hong Kong music icon, made a special appearance at the opening, bringing their distinctive elegance to the Emperor Jewellery’s exceptional high jewellery creations. Joey wore the ‘The Legacy’ Collection Goddess on the Sun Fancy Yellow Diamond Necklace, featuring a striking 3.730-carat fancy yellow diamond and 37.07 carats of diamonds, with pear-shaped fancy yellow diamonds and a laurel leaf-inspired chain in a majestic golden hue reminiscent of a queen’s crown. Gin adorned the ‘The Legacy’ Collection Sapphire & Diamond Tassel Necklace, featuring an oval-cut blue sapphire surrounded by white diamonds and sapphires, with cascading pear-shaped sapphire drops and an intricately layered collar. Together, the two creations reflected the Brand’s mastery of coloured gemstones, sophisticated design and exceptional craftsmanship. 

The afternoon began with an intimate conversation with Joey and Gin, who shared personal reflections on their creative journeys, appreciation for the artistry of fine jewellery, and a glimpse into what lies ahead for both artistes.  

The celebration culminated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony, officiated by (from left) Cindy Yeung, Chairperson of Emperor Watch & Jewellery, Joseph Yeoh, Vice President of YTL Land & Development Bhd and YTL Hotels & Resorts, Emperor Entertainment artiste Joey Yung, Dr Albert Yeung, Chairman of Emperor Group, Tan Sri Dato’ Francis Yeoh, Executive Chairman of the YTL Group, Emperor Entertainment artiste Gin Lee, and Larry Leung, CEO of Emperor Watch & Jewellery, formally marking the boutique’s opening.

The ceremony unfolded through a series of auspicious performances. A lion dance ushered in wishes of prosperity and good fortune, followed by a giant calligraphy presentation that paid homage to the heritage of traditional Chinese calligraphy.  

The occasion then turned the spotlight on the Emperor Jewellery’s latest creations, as Dr Albert Yeung hosted an exclusive tour of the boutique for Joey and Gin, alongside invited guests and media friends. The tour offered a closer look at the collections and the design of the new boutique, which features deep grey marble, botanical motifs and rich walnut timber accents. Inspired by nature and the multifaceted brilliance of a diamond, the space reflects the Brand’s signature aesthetic. 

According to Cindy, “Malaysia has always been an important market for Emperor Jewellery, and we are excited to deepen our presence here with our new boutique at The Starhill. More than an extension of our business, this opening gives us an opportunity to build closer connections with Malaysian customers and welcome new customers to the world of Emperor Jewellery.” 

The opening also welcomed prominent local personalities including style maven Michiyo Ho,  actress Lenna Lim, supermodel Nia Atasha, and singer-songwriter Sharon Lim. Each brought their own interpretation of contemporary elegance to the occasion, adorned in jewellery pieces crafted by Emperor Jewellery.  

Set within The Starhill, the new Emperor Jewellery boutique houses a curated selection, including the luminous Astra Collection, Wondrous of Green’s jade creations, and Artistry Collection, a tribute to timeless elegance and cultural heritage. Designed as an intimate setting for discovery, the boutique brings together Emperor Jewellery’s distinctive approach to craftsmanship, design and contemporary fine jewellery in one refined space.
